CALDWELL
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. Meetings consist of a short business meeting, show and tell, followed by a work session. We have plenty of table and floor space to work on! This Binky chapter was started in October 2006 after my moving to Texas. I had been a very active member in the San Jose California chapter (Nancy Edwards, coordinator) and wanted to continue to make a difference. The Caldwell chapter currently has 16 members and since October we have made over 100 blankets either knitted, crochet, quilted, or fleece tied/sewn. We have also made over 60 hats and several pairs of booties. The Caldwell chapter has donated to: The Rainbow Room for children in Child Protective Services, Scotty's House for abused children, Phoebe's Home for children in family abusive situations or low income families, St Joseph's neonatal ward, and Hope Pregnancy Center for unwed or low income mothers, and Child Protective Services. Thank you Lone Star Quiltworks for your kind donation of quilting fabric! Check out their store next to Luby's cafeteria in College Station, TX 77845 Meetings are held at Rita Blidt's house. Call or e-mail for directions. New Members are Always Welcome! Wish List
