We are deeply grateful to St. George Church in Trumbull for opening their hearts and doors once again to host a blanket-making gathering on November 19th. Twenty wonderful volunteers came together that evening to create 23 fleece-tie binkies that will bring comfort to children this Christmas season through the Monroe-Trumbull area.

This beautiful example of community pulling together reminds us why Binky Patrol’s mission resonates so deeply. St. George was also among the many locations that stepped up during our January effort to help children affected by the California wildfires, joining several other chapters in that nationwide response of compassion.

Special thanks to Sharon Buzi and Laura Coughlin for coordinating this heartwarming event, and to Binky Patrol Director, Jeanne Malgioglio, our Monroe-Trumbull Chapter founder and area coordinator, whose advance preparation of the fleece materials helped make the evening so productive.

When communities come together like this – churches opening their spaces, volunteers giving their time, coordinators organizing with care – we see the true spirit of “Make blankets. Make friends. Make a difference.” in action. Each of those 23 binkies represents not just warmth for a child’s body, but the warmth of a community’s love.

Thank you, St. George community, for being part of the Binky Patrol family and for showing once again how neighbors helping neighbors creates ripples of kindness that reach children when they need it most.
