Please join us as we give blankets to children who need a reminder that they are not forgotten. We need volunteers to make blankets for sick, traumatized, grieving or homeless children 0-18. Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, fleece tie, and quilted. Our chapter was established in January 2014, and since then, we have distributed over 27,000 blankets!

We have made deliveries to the following organizations: Bridgeport Hospital, Yale Children’s Hospital, CT Children’s Center, Norwalk Hospital, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Ruth’s House, The Ronald McDonald House and the Center for Family Justice, just for starters. We have sent bags and bags of blankets to schools in order to comfort children after a tragedy. We also give out blankets individually as needs arise.

BINK-A-THON NEWS

Thank you to all who joined us on MLK day – We made/collected 50 binkies and 38 hats. About 50 volunteers joined us! Binkies were already dropped off at  Norwalk Hospital & others will be heading to Connecticut Children’s Hospital.

We have two more events this spring. March 7th and April 11: both at Nichols United Methodist Church in Trumbull from 10-1. We will be making fleece tie blankets – we have the material, you just need to bring a sharp pair of scissors! Details will be forthcoming when it gets closer .
