Please join us as we give blankets to children who are in need. We need volunteers to make blankets for sick, traumatized, grieving or homeless children 0-18. Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, fleece tie, and quilted. Our chapter was established in January 2014, and since then, we have distributed over 18,500 blankets!
We have made deliveries to the following organizations: St. Vincent’s NICU, Bridgeport Hospital, Yale Children’s Hospital, Griffin Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, Bridgeport Rescue Mission, The Ronald McDonald House and the Center for Family Justice, just for starters. We have sent bags and bags of blankets to schools in order to comfort children after a tragedy. We also give out blankets individually as needs arise.
We have 2 drop-off sites in Monroe for blankets and yarn/fabric donations: Edith Wheeler Memorial Library and Last Drop Coffee Shop (on Main Street). Other drop-off sites are: Saugatuck Sweets in Fairfield, Vaughn Family Dentistry and JBagels in Trumbull, and RPM Automotive Repair in Bethany.

We would appreciate donations of fleece, fabric and yarn. Gift cards to Joann, Walmart, or Michaels would be appreciated as well! We are collecting financial donations for future Bink-A-Thons.
