Barb Susi Botsko is the Monroe/Trumbull CT chapter’s mvp when it comes to supporting and promoting Binky Patrol.
No way their chapter was letting a heatwave get in the way of their making and delivering binkies locally!
Barb Susi Botsko is the Monroe/Trumbull CT chapter’s MVP when it comes to supporting and promoting Binky Patrol. Last June her great nephew (shown in the last picture with a Binky he once received) Peter Radzwillas passed away. Peter’s grandma returned the Binky to Barb to bring her comfort, and it has truly done its magic.
Last August in the midst of a pandemic, we met in my backyard and driveway to make red and blue blankets in his honor. This year we wouldn’t let 95 temp. 90% humidity readings, and heat warnings stop us from meeting again in our first sort of public blanket making event. Last night 30 volunteers braved the temps to make 60 binkies in Peter’s honor. The binkies will be delivered in the next few weeks to Yale Children’s hospital, the Boys and Girls Village, and possibly Camp Hope.
