We had a total of 1,537 items given by 451 people in our town. Many dropped off items at my house before the shower. We had about 35 people from area churches and schools bring in the rest of the “Shower” that day.
The Residents at the Nursing Home had so much fun looking through the items. Helen Handley, 95, said all these pretty things makes you want to have another baby. Everyone got a laugh out of that!!
Journal Review was there to take pictures, but left before the biggest haul came in. We got some pictures to send to you of the tables before the items were taken away.
A Representative from each facility came in to gather their items. Each one was very pleased with the results of our community pulling together to help out. I was even ask if we were doing it again next year. I feel I work with a Great community always ready to help out. We hope the individuals who recieve the items will enjoy our efforts.
Thank you all for letting us be a part of the Organization, Binky Patrol
