July 26 1-4pm, Embassy Suites, Tigard (Washington Square), Oregon – help make hygiene kits for those in need. Embassy Suites/Hilton has partnered with Clean The World to make use of the shampoos, soaps left behind to clean them up and distribute them to those in shelters, living on the streets. Embassy Suites by Hilton Creating Nearly 1,200 Hygiene Kits to Commemorate Hilton’s Global Week of Service

Stop by for an hour or two, or stay for the whole thing. Air Conditioning included! You are simply helping to fill bottles of shampoo, soap, etc. for local area shelters. They are giving the kits to the SAME shelters Binky Patrol helps. They called me (Susan) to ask who needed them!

100 Local Team Members & Community Business Partners to Build 1,200 Kits to Directly Benefit Local Charities 

WHAT: Did you know hygiene-related diseases affect more than 2.5 billion people globally each year? In recognition of Hilton’s Global Week of Service and Embassy Suites by Hilton’s partnership with Clean The World, Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington Square- Portland-Tigard will create 1200 hygiene kits to distribute locally in Portland to make an impact. At Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington Square – Portland-Tigard, nearly 100 team members and community partners are expected to assemble 1,200 kits. The kits will be donated immediately following the event to Albertina Kerr, Union Gospel Mission, The Caring Closet, and Building Blocks 4 Kids.

WHEN: Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. 

WHERE: Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington Square- Portland-Tigard 9000 Washington Square Road, Tigard OR 97223 

WHY: The events are part of the company’s ongoing soap recycling initiative with partner Clean the World (CTW). Together with CTW, Hilton hotels have already collected over one million pounds of used soap, which have been recycled into more than four million new bars to help people in need.
