Our Goal was 1000 binkies:
Costa Mesa – 644, Yorba Linda – 379, Mission Viejo – 188, Laguna – 61.  Thank you all for making this such a huge success.

Mission Viejo drop off was at the home of Jack and Virginia Arnold:

Costa Mesa:

Brownies, Daisies, Girl Scouts and Cadets all pitched in to help us count, stack, fold and bag.
Bagging began early and took over an hour!

No idle hands in this group.  What a fabulous group of young ladies.

Binky Patrol Area Coordinator, Karin Ring sewed on labels non-stop for three hours! — except when she made a run to Starbucks to “refuel”.

Troop leaders and mom volunteers all pitched in to keep up with the incoming bags of beautiful binkies.

The question with every load of binkies… “Do they have labels?…”  It was so helpful that most of the binkies coming in to Costa Mesa had labels.

Some binkies weren’t quite finished.  A cadette troop helped out by finishing them.  They just needed knots tied in the fringe of the “no-sew” fleece binkies.

Mimi Askew kept tabs on counting — and her two boys!

This binky had patches sewn on and some great sport drawings!  We can wait to give this one out and all of the others.  These children and teens will definitely know that someone cares!
