The Space Coast Chapter held its second Bink-A-Thon on October 26 and it was a Huge Sucess! Twenty-seven Binky volunteers showed up at the Cocoa Elks Lodge in Cocoa, Florida ready to work – and work they did!!!
The volunteers came prepared and organized and starting zipping out binkies early. Approximately nineteen binkies and some baby hats and booties were dropped off as donations. By 3 p.m. the Space Coast had a total of 91 binkies!
A special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary Club of the Cocoa Elks Lodge who hosted the event. The chapter could not have been so sucessful without them. The ladies provided a beautiful continental breakfast and a great lunch! The coffee and drinks were flowing all day and they also handled all the clean-up afterwards. What a great contribution! Male Elk members popped in to observe the busy bees at work and were very impressed at the quality and quanitty of work. We have been invited to return again next year.
Here are some pictures!
The dining room at the Elks Lodge became a BINKY ROOM!
AFTER A LONG, HARD DAY THESE LADIES COULD ALL STILL SMILE!
PACKING UP BINKIES FOR STORAGE – BUT NOT FOR LONG.
