December 28th 2004, my husband and I welcomed our 6th little miracle into the world. Rebecca Rose weighed 4 lbs 13 oz had a full head of thick dark hair. She was the most beautiful baby we’d ever seen. She had the face of an angel.

Becca was born with a rare chromosomal abnormality, Trisomy-18. Her condition had gone undetected during my pregnancy. Becca was life flighted to a hospital with an intensive care nursery equipped to handle her needs.

Becca received several colorful blankets from loving volunteers in her stay at the ICN. Shopping for pre-mie clothes was the last thing on our minds, we were scared and exhausted and didn’t want to leave our baby’s side. Becca’s first outfits were made by volunteers.

My point is, and I can’t say this enough…what you ladies are doing is WONDERFUL and it is so important!!! You will never know all of the lives you’ve touched, all of the comfort you’ve given to children and heart broken parents. Your quilts are in countless pictures, your little handmade outfits are bringing warmth to precious babies and tears to the eyes of their loving parents. From one Area Coordinator and mom to a very special Binky Baby, thank you so much for all that you do. Please, PLEASE keep it up!!! There are so many babies, children and parents that need you.
