over a dozen people join us at the Beaverton Library to cut fabric

Hands On Portland broke the MLK Bink A Thon into two parts:  one to cut and prep the fabric and the other to sew them all together.  Today we had over a dozen people join us at the Beaverton Library to cut fabric, make blanket sandwiches for sewing on Monday and tying fleece blankets.

Thank you Hands On and all who attended.  We also had several people show up to drop blankets off that they made at home!

Are children helping you? 
If you have fabric markers and light colored fabric, let them decorate a square or two with a happy (non religious) message of hope and happiness.  They can be sewn into a blanket.

Click on the "click here" to schedule it.  When you schedule an event, the day after, our Binky Patrol chapter you signed up with will have a list to verify those volunteers who had projects the day before. if you did it, we’ll verify you and it will continue to process through the system. If you didn’t we’ll give you a day or two to reschedule, contact us, etc.
