Marlys has an extensive background in Education Administration and is currently Assistant Director of the Graduate School of Engineering at Northeastern University. She has held several progressively responsible administrative positions within the University. Marlys holds a Master of Science degree in Leadership, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, an Associate in Science degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Small Business Management; all from Northeastern University.

In addition to her professional administrative role, she has owned and operated her own crafts business for more than eighteen years. Marlys has been teaching crochet classes for an adult education program for the past fifteen years. She has been volunteering her services in website support for the Binky Patrol since June 2005. She makes and donates afghans and quilts to the Binky Patrol, makes and donates pet blankets to her local animal shelters and humane societies, and donates her time at a gift-wrapping booth to benefit the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless every year, just before Christmas.

Marlys enjoys volunteering her time to help make a difference in people’s lives. She enjoys being able to use her creative talents to create items that comfort children in need and animals in distress.
