Join the Ribbon of Unity Campaign. As we grieve the loss of life and attack on freedom in the aftermath of the bombings of Sept. 11, 2001, we come together as a world. |
The Ribbon of Unity campaign launched Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001 by Better Homes and Gardens Online and invites you to download a new international symbol of peace and togetherness. The symbol is available on www.bhg.com and on Ladies’ Home Journal Online, www.lhj.com. You will also find instructions for making your own Ribbon of Unity to wear on a lapel or personal item.
Share the ribbon with friends; download it yourself; and ask companies with whom you work or religious and social service organizations to which you belong to adapt the Ribbon of Unity and place it on their home pages and in e-mail correspondence.
Better Homes and Gardens has selected blue as an international symbol of tranquility, faith, contemplation and truth. The gold star at the center of the Ribbon symbolizes the joint strength of the 50 United States of America.
Together, those of us around the globe who value the comforts of home and family and the value of peace and freedom stand together as we wear the Ribbon of Unity.
